Living in New Jersey, I used to spend my summers enjoying my backyard pool or going to the shore. I’ve had to find new summer activities to enjoy since moving to Utah. Although, I don’t have hot, humid summers anymore, you can’t deny it gets hot, hot, hot in Utah during the summer. Having a water-filled destination is a must to keep the family entertained and cool. Splash Summit is my go-to now and we absolutely love it!
Splash Summit boasts three swimming pools, twelve slides and attractions. This means there is a ton to do to keep you entertained! Nestled beneath the mountains, under the infamous “Y”, this family-friendly water park enjoys some spectacular views. It is easy to get to, parking is plentiful, and entry to the facilities are seemless, especially if you have a cabana rented. You can basically skip the line, which is always a glorious thing!

We arrived at the park and were able to jump ahead of a line because we had a Wave Pool Cabana rented for the day. This is an amazing luxury to have a dedicated space to call your own while traversing the park. Our cabana consisted of extremely comfortable Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, a cooler stocked with just about every kind of soda and water you could imagine, GTG protein bars, plentiful chips and salsa, and an incredibly attentive wait staff. The cabanas accommodate up to 10 people. Imagine having a home base at your favorite water park, stocked with everything you needed to keep you cool and give you respite from the shining sun, when needed. Such was our Wave Pool Cabana. We have enjoyed the Island Cabana before, which is nestled in a dedicated and slightly more remote section of the park that had a few more cabanas like ours, it is very easy to get to rides and pools, while having a central meeting place for our family. The Wave Pool Cabana is new this year and located near the Wave Pool, as the name suggests. I love the island cabana location, but I felt like the Wave Pool Cabana was even more central to everything The advantage of having a dedicated server for our cabana was phenomenal–we never had to wait in line for food or go pick it up. We simply placed our order and it was delivered to our cabana when we were ready for lunch. I can’t say enough about having a cooler full of drinks and snacks to keep you hydrated and energized throughout the day.

Over the last couple of years, I have found I love to come to Splash Summit all the time, but I especially love to get a cabana for the 4th of July. We always host a big party in the evening, but rather than stay at home all day prepping for it, I like to carve out the day to relax and unwind with the family beforehand. We like to get there when the park opens and make a day of it. Everyone looks forward to it and it is just so much fun. It honestly has become part of our family tradition now!

When we weren’t enjoying the privacy and shade of our cabana, you’d better believe we were out in the park, enjoying all the great rides and attractions Splash Summit has to offer. There is so much to do! Whether you have little ones that want to splash in their own designated areas, love to be carried down the lazy river, want to ride the waves in the wave pool, or go on some major thrilling slides, there is something for everyone here!
We went on a very busy holiday weekend, but honestly, it didn’t matter, it never felt like the park was overcrowded. There was always tons of space to swim and lounge around. Lines did not take too long and we were able to get in all of the rides multiple times. Before we knew it, the end of the day was quickly approaching and we had packed it full of great adventures. It was a super enjoyable way to spend a summer day.

I really think Splash Summit is incredible. It’s clean, the staff is courteous, it’s safe. It’s so accommodating to families. People are even able to bring in pop ups to provide their own shade. There are tons of fun and delicious food options available, but you may opt to bring a cooler and leave it in your car and go picnic outside of the park. You can just have your hand stamped for readmission. One thing that I think is really nice at Splash Summit is how you can order food. Rather than having really long lines at food stands, you can scan a QR code to order from anywhere in the park. Once your food is ready, they will text you for you to pick it up. That really cuts down the crowds within the park and it’s a great system. The park is wonderful for all ages, with dedicated spaces for the youngest of patrons to those that just want to relax by the wave pool. There is something for everyone.
Admission to the park is extremely affordable and a great value. However, it’s an even more spectacular value if you purchase season passes with parking and tube options available. This allows you unlimited admission all season long. If you opt for the Lifetime Membership, you can even have your parking and tubes renewed for free each year, saving you even more! This is the easiest way to maximize going to Splash Summit. With two visits, you’ve practically paid for the whole thing and will have a summer of fun available to your family. One thing I know is that Splash Summit is a family favorite and a place we intend on keeping season passes to year after year. You will love it, too!
