I am not the biggest fan of America’s Got Talent. So much of “reality television” is scripted and fake that I find I lose interest with any acts that require behind-the-scenes shenanigans, backstory, or intentional drama.

When he appeared on AGT, Tape Face was refreshingly different. He did not talk. There was no story. Just brief physical comedy skits with creative props, brilliantly-selected tunes, and solid comedy. By the time the show ended, he had a Vegas show and made it big.

This evening, he traveled to the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton, Pennsylvania and we grabbed tickets for a good laugh.

Tape Face is the perfect show to just relax and enjoy the silliness. Audience participation, props, and music remain the staples for the humor. He brought both previously seen material and some new skits with creative interactions. His expressive humor with the volunteers  alone is worth the watch. It would probably be PG-13 for some of the content, but some of the humor would go over the heads of younger children without any need for concern.

As always, the State Theatre Center for the Arts proved up to the task of hosting great performers with their quality service, clean facilities, and comfortable theatre. No need to pay New York City prices for the top entertainers of our time, just check out State Theatre Center for the Arts for a fun night out.

It is one of my favorite venues to see a performance. Be sure to check out their vast calendar of events coming up through the 2023-2024 season. It is full of concerts, musicals, ballet, comedians, and other special events you will not want to miss! Looking ahead at the holiday season, tickets to any of these performances would make excellent gifts for those on your list!
