Epic is the only way to describe Monster Energy Supercross at Rice-Eccles stadium. Such an incredible venue for the national finals. From the moment you arrive the place is buzzing with energy. Stunt shows and vendors outside the stadium should be the first thing on your list. I highly recommend showing up on time to take in the whole event. From the qualifying rounds, to little kids races. the entire final 450sx Championship heat– it’s all awesome!
Once the qualifying runs begin, grab yourself some food and get ready for adrenaline packed entertainment. There’s nothing like the smell of race fuel in the evening.

For those who have never been, Supercross is a stadium dirt bike series run on smaller tracks where every seat in the house is a good seat. 22 competitors start on the line for each race. The gate drops for everyone at once. All 22 riders barrel down to the first corner. There’s nothing quite like it.
This year, there’s been a ton of anticipation for the finals with Jett Lawrence in the lead for the Championship in the 450 class. In the 250 class, the highly touted Haiden “Danger Boy” Deegan was sitting in second in the 250 East class with a shot at the title.
Two of the most enjoyable events are the four year old and seven year old races, which is an absolute blast to watch. These little kids have no fear!
This evening turned out to be a phenomenal finish to the Supercross season. RJ Hampshire won the 250 West with Hayden Deegan winning the final race but losing the Championship to Tom Vialle by four points. Jett Lawrence walked away champion of the 450 class in his rookie season.
The night was filled with high speed, big jumps and big crashes. If you’re a Supercross fan but haven’t gone to an event, go! If you’ve never even heard of Supercross but have a chance to get to an event, go! You will have so much fun.
