Halfway There!

This weekend, there was something buzzing in the air. An energy we normally only feel in the fall. Salt Lake City’s favorite haunted house was open for a weekend of thrills. Fear Factory welcomed patrons in for the weekend to celebrate a relatively new event called Halfway to Halloween.

I absolutely adore going to haunted houses in September and October and this Halfway to Halloween event is now something I always want to make a part of a very busy May calendar. My family would also agree. I love to bring them with me, daring to peruse the creepy stairwells and passageways is always guaranteed to be a ghoulishly fun time.

This event in May rekindles our love of Fear Factory and really gets us looking forward to the upcoming Halloween season, which will be here much faster than we realize.

Fear Factory always does an incredible job on their haunted house, off-season is no exception. We were able to go through this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised (or should I say scared?) to find that there were many noticeable changes that kept me on my toes. Pair that with the fact that all the lights are off and the only lights guiding us through the experience were the glow of our necklaces that we selected to wear to take our experience to the next thrilling level and allow us to be touched and moved by the inhabitants of the dilapidated factory and a singular finger light that could cast a small light ahead of us. It was exhilarating!

Although I have been through Fear Factory many, many times, it is always fresh and exciting and an adventure our entire family loves to go on. Although the doors are now closed, I really look forward to them opening back up for their autumn season in September. If last night’s experience was any indication of the thrills in store for us, I know we are in for a terrifyingly good time and we can’t wait to go back!

Be sure to check out their website and grab your tickets now for September and October to secure the best days and times for your upcoming haunt. While you are there, read up on the history and accolades of this Salt Lake institution to get yourself ready for your next visit.
