This evening, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey brought their newly revamped circus “The Greatest Show on Earth” to Salt Lake City’s Delta Center, and wow — what a show! As a mom who’s always on the lookout for memorable family experiences, I can confidently say that this show delivered on every level. From the moment we stepped inside, the energy was palpable, and the kids were buzzing with excitement. The promise of acrobats, clowns, and stunts had us all on the edge of our seats, but nothing prepared us for the magic that unfolded before our eyes.

Right from the start, the show set the stage for an unforgettable evening. My kids, particularly my youngest, were completely spellbound. The lights dimmed, and suddenly, performers began flying through the air with ease, twisting and flipping in ways that seemed to defy every law of physics. My little one turned to me wide-eyed and whispered, “How do they DO that?” And honestly, I was wondering the same thing! The aerialists swung gracefully from impossibly high trapezes, their colorful costumes swirling like butterflies in the sky. One performer executed a mid-air flip, and the entire arena gasped in unison — I could feel my own heart skip a beat. It was as if gravity simply didn’t apply to them.

For my older son, it was all about the stunts. He’s the daredevil of the family, always looking for ways to test limits, so he was riveted. My son was practically jumping out of his seat, cheering on the acts. You could see the awe on his face, that kind of wide-eyed wonder that only comes when you’re witnessing something that seems humanly impossible.

And let me tell you, it wasn’t just the kids who were captivated. My husband and I were equally drawn into the spectacle. I’ve been to the circus before, but this felt different — fresh, modern, yet still full of that classic circus charm. The show had such a wonderful balance of breathtaking stunts, high-energy performances, and those hilarious moments that had everyone, adults included, laughing out loud. The clowns were a huge hit, with their silly antics and slapstick humor providing the perfect comic relief between the more heart-stopping acts.

Beyond the stunts, what I loved most about the show was the way it felt inclusive of everyone, no matter their age. There’s a true sense of family in the audience. Whether you’re 5 or 50, there’s something in this show for you. It felt especially wonderful to be out as a family, sharing this experience. Seeing the joy on my kids’ faces — their eyes lighting up with every new act — was everything. This is the kind of outing that you’ll talk about for weeks afterward, reliving the excitement and those “did you see that?!” moments.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly event that’s packed with fun, thrills, and laughs, I can’t recommend the Ringling Bros. new tour enough. The Delta Center was the perfect venue, and while the show is only in town for a couple of days, the memories we made will last a lifetime. If your kids are obsessed with acrobats, can’t get enough of clowns, or just want to see some mind-blowing tricks, this is a must-see show. You won’t regret it!

Make sure to grab tickets if the Ringling Bros. tour comes to your city. Trust me, your whole family will be talking about it long after the curtain closes.
