Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of seeing LeAnn Rimes perform live at Boettcher Concert Hall, and let me just say — it was nothing short of magical. I’ve never seen her perform live before, but seeing her in person, accompanied by the incredibly talented Colorado Symphony, was an experience that truly exceeded all expectations.
Walking into Boettcher, you could feel the excitement in the air. Boettcher Concert Hall is a gem in the heart of Denver, with its intimate yet expansive setting and impeccable acoustics. It’s one of those venues where every seat feels close to the action, and trust me, when you’re in the presence of someone as gifted as LeAnn Rimes, that proximity is everything. The symphony itself set a perfect backdrop before LeAnn even hit the stage — filling the hall with a richness that primed us all for something extraordinary.
When LeAnn finally appeared, bathed in soft spotlight, it was like she effortlessly commanded the room. Her voice is every bit as stunning live as it is on her albums, and maybe even more powerful when you can see the emotion in her eyes as she sings. Whether it was the hauntingly beautiful “How Do I Live” or the fiery “Can’t Fight the Moonlight,” LeAnn’s vocal range and raw emotion made each song feel like its own story. You could tell she was just as invested in the music as we were — connecting with the audience, often pausing between songs to share a heartfelt story or two.
But what truly elevated the night was the Colorado Symphony. Pairing her soaring vocals with the lush sound of a full orchestra? That was something else entirely. The symphony added depth and nuance to songs I’ve heard a million times. The strings were so sweeping and emotive, they made my heart skip a beat. The way the horns punctuated the energetic rhythm of some of the songs made it feel like I was hearing it for the first time all over again. The musicians and LeAnn were in perfect harmony, complementing each other’s talents in a way that was just stunning to witness.

And let’s not forget about the venue. Boettcher Hall, with its surround sound architecture, ensured that no matter where you sat, the sound enveloped you — creating an almost immersive experience. There’s something special about being in a space that feels as much a part of the performance as the artists on stage. I’ve seen a few concerts here, but this one reminded me just how lucky we are to have a place like Boettcher in Denver. It’s such a versatile space, and I’m already counting down the days until my next event there.
As the night ended, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmingly grateful for this experience. LeAnn Rimes is a powerhouse on her own, but combined with the Colorado Symphony and the atmosphere of Boettcher Concert Hall? It was a concert I’ll never forget. Here’s hoping for many more unforgettable nights just like this one.
