Last night, we were invited to visit Fear Factory for the Halloween season. It’s always at the top of the list of must-see attractions for our family. This year did not disappoint, in fact, it was the best yet! As I was creeping through the corridors, I started thinking about scary stories and ghoulish tales I’ve enjoyed this time of year and thought I would share our experience at Fear Factory in the form of a poem I wrote.

Ode to Fear Factory
In the heart of Salt Lake, where the shadows creep,
Lies a haunted place, where no soul dares sleep.
The Factory looms, old and cracked with time,
Its history cursed, with deaths that chime.
From cemented pasts of gruesome lore,
To six winding buildings—oh, there’s more!
The air is thick with a chilling fright,
Each room you enter, darker than night.
Through mazes and bridges, you shiver and sway,
As demons and ghouls lead you astray.
Do you dare wear the Touch of Fear?
A necklace that invites them ever near.
Sinister sets and mind-blowing sights,
Each twist of the path brings new delights.
We laugh, we scream, it’s always the best,
Fear Factory’s our favorite haunt in the West!
A waft of fog, a whisper near,
Are you brave enough to feel the fear?
The air is electric—anticipation tight,
For anything could happen on this ghostly night.
High above the concrete we tread,
A dizzying height—one misstep, you’re dead!
The factory’s alive, and it calls your name,
Its pulse is dark, its goal the same.
Each twist and turn, each shadowed hall,
Brings heart-pounding screams that thrill us all.
From ghastly corridors to cursed machines,
Fear Factory’s packed with Halloween dreams.
The actors are waiting, eager to greet,
Costumed in terror from head to feet.
But don’t forget the factory’s true tale,
Its history of deaths makes spirits wail.
Every room is a masterpiece of fear,
With special effects that draw you near.
Lights flicker and shadows play,
Each step forward makes you want to stay.
The ghosts of the past haunt every space,
Adding to the dread of this eerie place.
Even Ghost Adventures came to see,
If the souls here truly roam free!
So come along, if you dare,
Face the frights that linger there.
Fear Factory calls to the brave and bold,
A spine-chilling tale in Salt Lake told!

We had so much fun at Fear Factory and know you will, too! Be sure to get your tickets for a night (or two!) to visit this month.
