Great Scott! If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent countless hours obsessing over Back to the Future—the DeLorean, the time-traveling adventures, the hoverboards! The franchise has always held a special place in my heart, and I’m beyond excited to share this news with my fellow Back to the Future fans.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of Back to the Future Part II, and Fathom Events is giving us a chance to relive the magic in theaters on October 19 and 21, 2024! Yes, you heard that right—our favorite time travelers, Marty McFly and Doc Brown, are coming back to the big screen, and I’m absolutely thrilled!

If you’ve visited The Mommy Avenger before, you know how much I LOVE Back to the Future—and not just the movies, but everything about the era, the nostalgia, and, of course, Michael J. Fox. His portrayal of Marty McFly is nothing short of iconic. Did I mention to you before that Michael J. Fox gave me his autograph when I was 8 years old?

In fact, Back to the Future is the movie that first sparked my love for science fiction and adventure. I still remember the first time I watched Marty jump into the DeLorean and zoom through time—it felt like I was on that journey with him. Watching Back to the Future Part II in theaters back in the day was such a thrilling experience, and I can’t wait to do it all over again, this time with my kids (they feel the same way I do, because I taught them well!)

 Back to the Future Part II  was an awesome sequel. It’s the one where we first get a glimpse of the future—hello, 2015! The flying cars, the self-lacing shoes, the iconic hoverboards—this film set the bar for what we thought the future would look like. Even though we’re a few years past 2015, it’s still fun to watch the movie and see how far we’ve come (though I’m still waiting for my hoverboard).

The movie also brings in that fascinating alternate timeline concept. Who could forget the moment when Biff Tannen gets his hands on the Sports Almanac and changes history? The darker turn that the series took in Part II made it even more gripping, especially with the stakes being so high for Marty and Doc to put things right.

But more than anything, I’m looking forward to experiencing it all again with the big screen magic that only a theater can offer—the roar of the DeLorean’s engine, the vivid colors of Hill Valley, and the heart-pounding excitement as Marty and Doc navigate the wild twists of time.
