On July 13th & 16, 2025, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is coming back to theaters for its 50th anniversary, thanks to Fathom Entertainment—and YES, Jack Nicholson’s rebellious smirk is still as iconic as ever.

This is a film that hits different. And seeing it on the big screen? It’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Even better—I’m giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky reader!

🎥 What’s the Movie About?

In case you haven’t seen it (or just need a refresher), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest tells the story of Randle McMurphy, a rebellious guy who fakes insanity to escape prison time. He ends up in a psychiatric hospital, thinking he’s gamed the system—but quickly finds himself up against the cold, calculating Nurse Ratched. What starts as a clever dodge turns into a deep battle for freedom, humanity, and dignity.

It’s powerful, unforgettable, and—fun fact—one of only three movies in history to win the “Big Five” Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay. Total classic.

🎉 50 Years Later—Back Where It Belongs

To celebrate the film’s 50th anniversary, Fathom Entertainment is bringing it back to theaters for two nights: July 13 & 16, 2025. There’s nothing like seeing this kind of masterpiece in a dark theater with a bucket of popcorn and a room full of people holding their breath.
