You guys. It’s that time of year again. I’m clearing my calendar, charging my phone, and prepping for one of my favorite summer traditions: The Salt Lake Parade of Homes, running August 1–16, 2025!
Yes, it’s a stroll through nice houses, but it’s also the event for anyone who loves design, decor, floor plans, finishes, or dreaming about what their next home might look like—even if it’s ten years away (guilty).
What is the Salt Lake Parade of Homes?
It’s a self-guided tour of newly built, professionally designed homes throughout Salt Lake County, from luxury custom builds to modern family-friendly layouts and everything in between. You’ll get to walk through homes from top local builders and see all the latest in:
- Architecture and design trends
- Kitchen and bathroom innovations
- Landscaping that will make you side-eye your own yard
- Smart home tech
- Color palettes and finishes that make your Pinterest board look basic
Whether you’re renovating, decorating, building, buying, or just want a fun afternoon out , there is so much to see. I love walking into each home and asking myself, “Would I live here?” And then usually answering, “Absolutely. Someone hand me the keys.”
Some homes are modern and sleek, some are cozy and classic, some are full-on dream mansions. No two are the same, and that’s what makes it so fun. Each home is its own vibe, and you get to peek inside without a realtor giving you the side-eye.
You can visit as many homes as you want over the two weeks. Bring your spouse, bring your kids, bring your best friend who also judges cabinet hardware and lighting choices like it’s an Olympic sport.

Chefs on Parade – Tuesday, July 29
Gorgeous homes + incredible food = yes please. You’ll tour select homes while sampling dishes from some of Utah’s best chefs. Vote for your favorite and enjoy a fun, delicious night out. Family-friendly, so bring everyone—or not, and enjoy it in peace. 😉
Parade Premier Party – Thursday, July 31
A fancy sneak peek inside one of this year’s most talked-about homes, hosted by Cross Construction. Dress up in cocktail attire, sip something bubbly, and make a difference with this event that partners with Make-A-Wish Utah. This is a VIP-level experience, and tickets will be limited.
