Halloween season has officially arrived, and our family couldn’t wait to kick it off with something fun. This year we headed out to The Crazy Corn Maze in West Jordan, Utah—and let me tell you, it was the perfect way to start the spooky season.

What I love about this destination is that it’s not just one experience, but three. You can pick and choose what you want to do, or go all in like we did and try them all. The three attractions are: The Crazy Corn Maze, Fright Lights, and Night Stalkers Haunt. Each one offers something different, so there’s truly something for every member of the family.
🌽 Crazy Corn Maze: Family Fun Without the Scares

Not everyone in our family loves the “scary” side of Halloween (I’ll admit, some of us are a little jumpy). That’s why the Crazy Corn Maze is such a fantastic option. It’s a traditional corn maze—no monsters, no actors, no creepy surprises. Just rows and rows of tall corn, crisp fall air, and the challenge of finding your way through the twists and turns together.
Our kids had the best time trying to “outsmart” the maze, and honestly, it turned into this little team effort where we were all cheering when we figured out the right paths. It’s such a simple joy, but it really captures the best parts of fall. If you’re looking for a Halloween outing that everyone—from toddlers to grandparents—can enjoy, the Crazy Corn Maze is it.
💡 Fright Lights: Halloween Magic for All Ages

Next up, we ventured into Fright Lights, and this one is especially great for little ones. Think of it as a Halloween-themed light and music spectacular. As you walk through, Halloween songs (the fun, family-friendly kind) play all around you, perfectly synchronized with glowing displays of pumpkins, skeletons, witches, and all sorts of festive designs.
It honestly felt magical—like the kind of thing kids and adults can equally enjoy. Little ones were dancing along to the music, while older kids were pointing out all the creative light displays and dancing. At the very end, you even get to pick out a pumpkin to take home (while supplies last), which was such a sweet touch and made the night feel extra special. We carried ours home like trophies and immediately started planning our carving ideas.
This attraction is a must-do for every family. It’s fun, festive, not scary, and the perfect way to soak in the Halloween atmosphere.
👻 Night Stalkers Haunt: For the Brave Ones

Now, here’s where things get intense—Night Stalkers Haunt. If you’ve got teens who are ready for scares, or if you’re like me and secretly (okay, not so secretly) love a good haunted corn maze, this is the spot.
This isn’t just a regular haunted house—it’s a massive haunted corn maze with multiple themed areas, each one more terrifying than the last. The actors, costumes, and sets are so well done that you feel completely immersed. The screams, the surprises, the anticipation of what’s around the corner—it all adds up to a heart-pounding, unforgettable experience.
I’ll be honest, I even jumped more than I normally do, but that’s what makes it so fun. It’s spooky entertainment at its best, and if you love Halloween, you will love Night Stalkers. Just be prepared to scream (a lot).

Our Halloween Kickoff Tradition
By the time we left, we were all buzzing—some from laughter, some from screams, all from the fun of the night. We kicked off Halloween with memories I know our kids will be talking about for weeks. That’s the magic of places like the Crazy Corn Maze—it gives you options, whether you want wholesome fall fun, family-friendly magic, or heart-racing scares.
