I am all about exploring and having adventures with your family. I think it’s a great way to spend time bonding with your family to play together. But, let’s face it, family entertainment or date nights can be very expensive. I am not all about that!

Someone else felt the same way and created something absolutely brilliant–The Get Out Pass.  The GetOutPass was started by Charles Belliston. He discovered that local attractions were tough to try with his kids. Is it worth the money? What if they didn’t like it? Yes, we love it! For one low price, you can get a pass that gives the holder access to so many attractions. Grab a pass for each family member and you can coordinate going to attractions together. It’s available in 31 states right now, including Utah, so we decided to give it a try. When you get your passes you can manage it through the app easily so you can always have it with you when you are out and about. If you have younger family members, you can manage their passes for them. But, if you have teens and older, you can let them take charge of their pass. I love this because it’s also a great gift to give teens so that they can go do things with friends without spending money.

I had heard about the GetOutPass once before, but didn’t really know what it was all about. What finally enticed me to look into it more was the fact that it included admission to Lagoon, the only amusement park in Utah. If I was planning on going to that amusement park, it was a no-brainer to get the pass because I could get one admission there and admission to over 100 different venues for the same price. We can visit places like Splash Summit (a favorite!), Scera Shell Outdoor Theatre, Improv Broadway, axe throwing, swimming, skiing, massages, Fish Kiss, escape rooms, arcades, adventure centers, SeaQuest, Provo Beach, Utah Grizzlies games, the list goes on and on! Not only that, but they constantly add new places and deals. Some are one time admissions and some reload on your pass. But the pass is good for a full year from the date you purchase, so there isn’t a fear that you won’t get to use them.

We went ahead and got passes for our family and using them is an absolute cinch! I love that we can decide on the fly to do an activity and it’s going to be free. It’s also a great way to get out of a rut, try new things and find new hobbies. There is something for everyone here and it ranges in location all over Utah, so no matter where you live, there will be tons of activities nearby.
