We had the opportunity to attend Disney On Ice Presents Frozen and Encanto last night, and it was truly magical from start to finish. Both Frozen and Encanto feature some of Disney’s most beloved soundtracks, and hearing these iconic songs come to life—paired with exquisitely talented ice skaters—was an unforgettable experience. The costumes were beautifully crafted, vibrant, and detailed, making each character instantly recognizable and visually stunning on the ice. Seeing these stories unfold in person offers something special that you simply can’t get from the movies alone.
From the moment we walked into the Delta Center, the excitement was contagious. My kids had their little Mickey ears on and I could already tell this was going to be one of those nights—where the smiles never stop and the memories stick.
The show opens with none other than Mickey Mouse, joined by Minnie, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Their cheerful skating and playful banter instantly set the tone for an evening full of wonder and nostalgia. My small children could hardly contain their squeals of joy seeing their favorite classic Disney characters gliding right in front of them. That moment alone was worth the ticket.
Then, we’re whisked away to the kingdom of Arendelle, where Olaf’s familiar voice guides us through Anna and Elsa’s journey. You could feel the emotion in the arena during “Let It Go”—Elsa’s sparkling costume shimmered like real ice, and the choreography was breathtaking. Anna’s determination to bring her sister home warmed every parent’s heart in the room. Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven added humor and heart along the way, and by the end, the whole crowd was cheering for love (and a thawed Arendelle, of course).
The show transitions into Encanto, and wow—the energy shift is instant. Bright lights, rhythmic music, and vibrant colors fill the ice as the magical Madrigal family takes over. The performers captured the spirit of Encanto perfectly, with Mirabel’s story reminding all of us that being “ordinary” doesn’t make you any less special. And when “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” started? The entire arena lit up—literally and emotionally. It was a full-blown party on ice.
The grand finale ties both stories together beautifully, celebrating family, love, and being true to who you are. By the end, my kids were dancing in their seats, and I’ll admit—I might’ve been singing along too.
If you’re in the Salt Lake City area, Disney On Ice Presents Frozen & Encanto is here for a limited time at the Delta Center, November 6–9, 2025. It’s a show that reminds you why Disney magic never gets old—because it brings families together, sparks imagination, and leaves everyone smiling.
