If you’re looking for something new to add to your family’s holiday tradition list, Holiday Lights at The Ballpark at America First Square is such a fun surprise this season. This brand new experience has officially come to South Jordan, Utah and the new Salt Lake Bees stadium, and it’s already shaping up to be a must-do winter activity.

We were genuinely excited to visit, and from the moment we walked into the ballpark, it felt special. Seeing the field completely transformed into a glowing holiday wonderland was such a cool experience. There’s something magical about standing on a baseball field in the winter, surrounded by colorful lights instead of game-day crowds. The lights stretch across the field, creating an immersive space that feels festive, exciting, and perfect for families.

What really sets Holiday Lights apart is how much there is to do. This isn’t just a walk-through light display. It’s an interactive experience that keeps kids engaged the entire time. One of the stops for kids was the ornament decorating area. Sitting down to create something festive right in the middle of all the lights felt extra fun and gave them a chance to be creative before moving on.

The reindeer ride was another huge hit. The kids couldn’t get enough of it, and watching their excitement as they hopped on again and again was one of those moments that reminds you why experiences like this matter. There are also snowball throwing areas where kids can burn off energy and just be kids, which is always a win during the colder months.

One of the most fun spots was the interactive dance area with colored light pads. The kids loved jumping, dancing, and watching the lights react to their movements. Even the adults couldn’t resist stepping in for a quick dance. And for a little break, the mini UTA train ride is absolutely adorable. It loops through the experience and gives everyone a chance to sit back and enjoy the lights from a new perspective, which is perfect for little legs that need a rest.

Throughout the entire ballpark, there are so many fun and festive photo ops. From glowing displays on the field to beautifully lit backdrops, it’s easy to capture holiday memories without feeling staged or forced. This is one of those events where your camera roll fills up fast.

Of course, no winter outing is complete without something warm, and grabbing a cup of delicious hot chocolate while strolling through the lights just adds to the cozy holiday vibe. It’s the perfect finishing touch to an already magical evening.

Another thing I love about this event is that there’s still plenty of time to go. Holiday Lights runs through January 3, 2026, making it a great option during Christmas break when the kids are home and you’re looking for something festive that gets everyone out of the house.

The kids absolutely loved it, and honestly, that’s the best review I can give. Holiday Lights at The Ballpark at America First Square is festive, interactive, and such a fun way to experience the new Salt Lake Bees stadium in a totally different way. If you’re looking for a holiday outing that the whole family will enjoy—especially the kids—this one is definitely worth adding to your list.
