We were thrilled to attend yet another wonderfully entertaining night at Tuacahn Amphitheatre in Ivins, St. George. Given the time of year and the season, tonight’s show was held in the Indoor Hafen Theatre. The seating in this part of Tuacahn is extremely comfortable and provides a similar exciting atmosphere as the outdoor amphitheatre does with great backdrops, amazing sound and lighting. At the same time, the indoor theater also provides a more intimate setting for this performance.

Tonight’s Million Dollar Quartet was fully energized from start to finish. This splendid ensemble recreates a moment and time in rock ‘n roll history that attendees get an upfront view to the musical history making events of December 4, 1956. Four great music legends held a recording session on this day, jamming hits that not only shaped the music industry, but that still resonate through the passage of time. Hits from this impromptu session have earned their place in the music hearts and minds of rock ‘n roll fans throughout generations.
These four music legends were Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. The passing of decades has not lessened the popularity of the songs included in this spectacular musical event. A number of the smash hits the Million Dollar Quartet sung all those years ago have found their place in smash-hit movies today. They therefore continue to live on in younger generations who have an appreciation for music from this earlier era.

You can reminisce with featured songs such as, “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Hound Dog,” “Whole Lot of Shaking Going on,” and “Walk the line,” to name a few. These legendary artists are icons in their own right. The coming together in Memphis, Tennessee at Sun Records for this recording session has left an irrefutable mark of music supremacy for the ages. Sam Phillips was the visionary founder of Sun Records who serves as the narrator and producer of the group, guides the audience through the historic December 4th, 1956 jam session.
With an overwhelmingly talented cast, their united chemistry is truly electrifying. Their mastering of a wide range of vocals both individually and collectively serves as an honorable tribute to the four great icons they portray. The supporting cast on the bass and the drums are equally as electrifying. The energy exerted through the night’s performance was contagious! This is not a show you will doze off in or fall asleep, nor is it one you would want to.
In terms of stage props, lighting, and other musical support, Tuacahn produces top-notch productions one after the other. Tonight’s show was no exception, showcasing every element that makes these productions successful. A wholehearted thank you to the talented musicians who make up Tuacahn’s Million Dollar Quartet – You delivered a million-dollar show!
You can watch it for yourself now through March 7th, 2026. Be sure to get your tickets to this incredible show!
