If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend in Salt Lake City, I have an easy recommendation: Disney on Ice. We went to the Disney on Ice: Let’s Dance! show and, honestly, Disney on Ice does it again.

Having the opportunity to enjoy a Disney on Ice show is always a pleasure, and this one was no exception. The “Let’s Dance!” show is definitely a production you won’t want to miss.

One thing I’ve always loved about Disney on Ice is how it immediately pulls you into the fun. From the moment the show begins, you’re welcomed by everyone’s favorite mouse and a few of his very best friends. Seeing Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse skate out onto the ice instantly sets the tone for the night.

In Let’s Dance!, Mickey, Minnie, and their friends act as DJs, spinning their way through different Disney stories. Each story becomes its own dance party, and the audience is absolutely part of the experience.

The entire crowd is encouraged to dance and have a good time. Kids were standing up in their seats, clapping, and moving along with the music. Everyone is invited to sing along too, and the lyrics are projected karaoke-style on the screen. That was definitely my favorite part. I always want to sing along at shows anyway, so having the words right there and being encouraged to belt it out made it even more fun.

Disney on Ice always impresses when it comes to costumes, and this show was no different. Every costume is beautifully designed and absolutely covered in rhinestones. Under the lights of the arena, everything sparkles.

The sets and props are just as impressive. They’re creative, colorful, and thoughtfully designed so you really feel pulled into each story. One minute you’re in the ocean, the next you’re in a snowy kingdom.

And then there are the skaters. I honestly can’t say enough about how talented they are. Their athleticism makes every movement look effortless. They don’t just skate across the ice. They spin, jump, lift, and fly. Some moments felt more like watching acrobats than figure skaters as performers swung and spun high above the ice.

One thing that really surprised me about this show was the mix of stories they performed. The skaters brought so many newer Disney favorites to life, including moments inspired by films like Wish, Frozen II, and Moana.

But they didn’t stop there. They also included some classics that many of us grew up with, like The Lion King and The Little Mermaid.

That mix made the show feel really special. Kids were excited to see their favorite characters from newer movies, while parents had those little moments of nostalgia watching stories they loved as children. It’s one of those experiences where you realize you’re sharing something with your kids that once meant just as much to you.

And honestly, nothing is quite as powerful as a little bit of Disney nostalgia.

If you have the chance to make it to a Disney on Ice show, take it. Your kids will love it, and a little Disney magic is always good for the soul.

Disney on Ice: Let’s Dance! is performing this weekend at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

You can check showtimes and grab tickets on their website: https://www.disneyonice.com/en-us/lets-dance/salt-lake-city-ut-delta-center/.

Shows like this tend to fill up quickly, especially weekend performances, so it’s worth grabbing tickets while they’re still available.

If you’re looking for a fun family outing, this one checks all the boxes. Great music, incredible skating, beloved characters, and an arena full of kids dancing in their seats.

That’s a pretty magical way to spend an evening.
