It’s time to start thinking of holiday gifts and one of our very favorites listed in our Holiday Gift Guide is Rebecca Rubin, newly reintroduced in the BeForever American Girl doll line. This classic beauty will have American Girl fans thrilled.

We received one of these beautiful dolls to check out* and were more than pleased with the high quality doll we’ve come to expect from American Girl.

American Girl Rebecca Rubin

Rebecca Rubin is a confident, charismatic girl living in 1914.  Her mother and grandparents immigrated from Russia, so her family has a strong cultural and religious heritage.  She has to acclimate to American culture and keep a balance with her Jewish faith. She has a flair for acting and a love of being in the spotlight, with a desire to find her own way.

This doll is lovely.  She has gorgeous honey brown hair and hazel eyes.  I, personally, can not get enough of the authentic style of clothing from the early 1900’s.  The purple dress and accessories she comes in is so cute.  The textures and fabrics of the clothing and details, such as the velvet belt, faux pearl buttons, herringbone skirt, and boucle jacket are the perfect outfit for her. Her clothing suits her so well.  As we would expect, she also has a very special holiday outfit to celebrate Hanukkah, her favorite time of year. I love the shade of periwinkle blue with her coloring, so pretty! I think girls everywhere would agree, they would love a dress like this for themselves!  It is flowing, light, and has wonderful details like a shawl collar, tulip sleeves, satin sash, and a headband with gathered rosettes.  I love the double strapped dress black patent dress shoes to accompany the dress.

This would make a fantastic gift this holiday season. I love the wholesome and strong message American Girl dolls send to girls today.  It’s so great to have positive role models for girls.  Rebecca is a great one! You can purchase Rebecca, as well as a large assortment of other great dolls, at American Girl stores or online.
