I recently had the pleasure of going to ComicCon in New York City to cover all things comic and pop culture related. It was a blast! It was also really draining. I happened to have a pedometer on the first day that I went and I walked a whopping 11 miles while I was there! It was exhausting.
I was invited to stay at my favorite hotel* in New York City, Hotel Giraffe, while I was at ComicCon. Knowing that I was coming back to this hotel at the end of the day was wonderful. Â My feet were tired and there is a lot of energy spent at a place like ComicCon. Â I needed a place to recharge!
I love going up to the rooftop of the hotel first thing. Â It is an oasis in the city. Â So peaceful and serene. Â Not to mention beautiful. Â The last time I visited in the city, there were tons of fresh flowers up top. Â This time, I could see the pretty touches of fall in the plants. Â This is a great place to sit and relax and take some time to yourself. Â Later in the evening, lots of guests mingle here, too, which is a great social recharge, as well.
Walking into the hotel room, after the craziness of the city, I felt like I left it all at the door. Â The room was peaceful, low lit with warm lights, and welcoming. Â Super clean and just the sort of spot where I could be comfortable staying in the city.
There are so many things to absolutely adore about this hotel. Â The room is amazing, the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on in a hotel, sound machines to lull you to sleep at night (an absolute must for me!), free wi-fi, complimentary snacks available 24/7 and breakfast in the morning in their lovely lobby. Â Very courteous staff, willing to attend to your every need, really makes you feel at home, though.
I loved that once I was in from the festivities of ComicCon, I was able to relax in my hotel room, away from Times Square, in a quiet neighborhood near Madison Square Park. Â It was as close to home as I would find in the city and I felt so content to be there. Â After a warm, relaxing bubble bath, wrapped in a robe and slippers that the hotel provides for their guests, I was able to decompress and enjoy a great night’s sleep. Â It was heavenly!
I love the view from the room, especially seeing the city lights at night. Â It is fun to look out the window and know that you are in New York City, but you enjoying all the comforts of home.
I really can’t recommend this hotel enough to you.  Looking to enjoy a nice getaway with your family or just your spouse?  Book a room at Hotel Giraffe.  You will not be disappointed!  I can’t wait to come back with for another visit when I am on an extended stay in the city.  You can learn more about the hotel, or another of the Library Hotel Collection properties, by visiting their website.
*I was invited to stay at the hotel to facilitate a review, all opinions are my own.
