Shoot for the Stars

While in London, we found you could easily lose yourself in historical sites and museums.  I am a huge fan of learning about the history of a city and my family also loves it, so that is something we definitely like to do while vacationing. However, it’s good to have a nice balance of fun and touring of historical places.  When you can combine the two, even better!

We found just the spot to unwind and let loose while on our vacation was at Star Command.  An historical location, set next door the the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, this spot is the go-to place to get some awesome time away with the family or friends and blow off some steam.

My kids love laser tag and we love to do it as much as we are able, but let me tell you, this experience was beyond any one we have had in the United States.

We joined a very large party and divided into teams.  We embarked on a fun adventure where we could have unlimited lives, multiple weapon choices (grenades and machine guns to name a couple) and not too many rules.  Laser tag tends to be over governed in my home town, which makes for a less than stellar experience.  But here, the ground rules allowed for some serious fun to be had from both young and old.

Each session can last around 20 minutes and up, depending on what you schedule.  It was nice to have a much longer session where you weren’t worried about beating the clock.  The structure is quite large, with loud music and neon lights  filling the space, leaving plenty of dark corners to wait to ambush the opposing team.  Added bonus, you will get a serious workout while playing and running around!  In addition to laser tag, there is a small arcade, paintball sessions, and zombie tag that you can play here, too!

Star Command laser tag is a great place to go for birthday parties or just a fun night out.  Everyone in our group absolutely loved it and we thoroughly  enjoyed our visit.  Check them out for yourself when you visit London!
