Retro Futura Visits State Theatre New Jersey

I am a child of the 80’s.  I’m proud of that and own the fact that I will always love all things 80s.  Especially when it comes to music.  There just isn’t anything out there today like what I heard on my radio growing up, so long ago.  However, sadly, I was a bit too young to get to experience these favorite artists live when they were popular.  Many times when I hear a song on the radio, I think to myself how great it would have been to see them live in concert.

A couple of years ago, I found out about the Retro Futura tour when it came to Philadelphia.  Always a huge fan of the Thompson Twins and Howard Jones, we jumped at the chance.  I have to tell you, it was one of my most favorite concerts….EVER!  Talk about incredible entertainment and talent.  I loved it!  Ever since that time, I’ve been itching to go back to see another Retro Futura tour.  You guys, the chance has now arrived!

New wave fans rejoice! The Retro Futura tour is coming to New Brunswick, New Jersey! Headlined by synth pioneer Howard Jones (“Things Can Only Get Better,” “Life In One Day”), the jam-packed show will also feature sets from the English Beat (“Mirror In The Bathroom,” “Save It For Later”), Men Without Hats (“The Safety Dance”), Modern English (“I Melt With You”), Paul Young (“Every Time You Go Away”), and Katrina (ex-Katrina And The Waves) (“Walking on Sunshine”).

I am so excited to see this show.  Seriously, what a fun line up!  On August 9, 2017 at 7:00pm, all of these  musicians will be playing live at the State Theatre New Jersey.  And you have the chance to go see them in this intimate setting, reliving your favorite tunes and reminiscing good times.  You can even take your older kids (recommended age is 12 and up) back to see them ( I know my kids would love this!).  You know I will be there, too, rocking out to my favorite songs.

You can purchase your own tickets to see the show now, by visiting State Theatre New Jersey’s website.  Tickets are very affordable and with it being at the State Theatre New Jersey, you know you won’t find a bad seat in the house!  I hope to see you there!
