There’s a whole world out there to see and explore and now, if you happen to be in New York City, you can see a miniature version of it all in one day! That’s what we got to do when we were invited* to visit Gulliver’s Gate, one of the newest attractions in Times Square, this month.
Two things I love: traveling and mini things. Gulliver’s Gate has combined those two things to create a very cool experience for every member of the family. It actually boasts the title of largest interactive museum of miniatures in the world! So what can you expect to see and do when you arrive to Gulliver’s Gate? You will receive an interactive key that allows you to manipulate and unlock hidden features throughout the museum and you can end up taking this key home as a souvenir, too. In addition to just seeing the amazing detail of lands across the entire Earth, you can participate in a scavenger hunt (tons of fun and challenging at times!) of items that can be found within the entire museum. For example, can you find the Ghostbusters and Spider-Man? We did, but you need to pay close attention–they could be anywhere!
Walk into the museum and you will see miniature versions of cities and countries all over the world. Interested in seeing New York City? That’s great, because they have it!
I’m not going to show you too many pictures, as I think you’ll have more fun exploring in person. But, I will say the street scenes in New York City are very funny and true to life.
Hop on over to London, my favorite city of all time, you’ll see the Tower Bridge and you just might find the Beatles crossing Abbey Road. Take a look at the country side and you’ll catch a glimpse of Hogwarts, even!
The people who created this museum were very clever and have a great sense of humor! The attention to detail is incredible! My boys and I spent a good amount of time laughing at hidden scenes that caught our eyes.
Something cool about Gulliver’s Gate is that you can actually put yourself in the museum. You can have yourself transformed into a mini person in the museum! Thousands of people already have done it and we saw them in all the scenes throughout the world. So much fun to see!
I didn’t know if I would like Gulliver’s Gate, as it seems so different from anything I’ve gone to before. But, we truly had a fun time. It was very entertaining and the attention to detail made for a very enjoyable experience.
You can purchase your own tickets (timed tickets are available to make the experience better for everyone) by visiting their website. I can’t wait to hear what you think of Gulliver’s Gate!
