Experience the symphony that changed the course of music history—Beethoven’s Fifth—conducted by Markus Poschner, who is known above all for his breathtaking Beethoven interpretations and recordings. This performance is sure to be magnificent and I can’t wait to experience it! You can join me when it will be performed this weekend at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, Friday, December 2nd at 7:30pm and Saturday, December 3rd at 5:30pm.

Additional Highlights:
Raminta Šerkšnyte is a young Lithuanian composer – the work was commissioned and premiered by Mariss Jansons and Bayerischer Rundfunk. About the piece, Ms. Šerkšnyte writes: “When composing this piece, I had several sources of inspiration. First of all, I knew that in the premiere performance it will be played before Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, therefore a few motives from this symphony became the kernel of harmonic development of my music.”
