Shall we dance? Your ticket to this must-see performance includes the thrills and delights of the City of Light, Gershwin’s timeless melodies, and Oscar-winning performances as the Utah Symphony performs the full score to the film An American in Paris live while the entire movie plays on the big screen. Follow struggling painter Jerry Mulligan (played by Gene Kelly) in a delightful story of love, friendship, and of course … Paris! Who could ask for anything more?
Come early for dance instructions in the lobby from local professionals and take pictures in front of a large Eiffel Tower in our lobby.
Join us Friday night for a special preconcert thank you event to Volunteers that have given over 75 hours of dedication to USUO.
I’m a big Gene Kelly fan, my father-in-law was close friends with him, actually! While I have seen so many of his movies, I’m surprised to realize that I have never seen An American in Paris! I can’t wait to go and see it at Abravanel Hall when the Utah Symphony will be performing the score to the movie the weekend of February 24th and 25th. I can’t think of a better way to be introduced to this beloved movie than with music performed live by some of my favorite musicians.
You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity either, so grab your tickets while they are available by visiting their website.
Hope to see you there!
