Nestled at 906 Alaskan Way, this exhibit offers a poignant journey back to 1912, allowing visitors to relive the grandeur and tragedy of the RMS Titanic.

From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in the world of the Titanic. The exhibition is meticulously curated, featuring over 200 original artifacts, including personal belongings of passengers and crew. These items, ranging from photographs and handwritten letters to cherished keepsakes, provide an intimate glimpse into the lives of those aboard the ill-fated ship. 

One of the standout features is the life-size recreations of the ship’s interiors. Walking through the first-class suite, you’re struck by the opulence—the rich wood paneling, plush furnishings, and intricate details transport you to a bygone era of luxury.

In fact, we learn accommodations of this kind would cost about $80,000 today! In stark contrast, the third-class cabin showcases the modest accommodations of the time, offering insight into the diverse experiences of Titanic’s passengers. 

The exhibition isn’t just a collection of artifacts; it’s a narrative journey. Each visitor receives an audio guide that narrates the events of that fateful voyage, enriched with survivor testimonies, period music, and evocative sound effects. This storytelling approach breathes life into the historical accounts, making the experience deeply personal and moving.  Hearing and seeing real life accounts of passengers was eye-opening. Did you know that the story of Rose and Jack in Titanic the movie was actually inspired by true events? The heart of the ocean was actually real, although maybe embellished a bit.

As you progress through the exhibit, the recreated Marconi Room—Titanic’s communication center—stands as a testament to the crew’s bravery. It’s a poignant reminder of the human stories intertwined with the ship’s legacy. 

Titanic: The Exhibition is open to visitors of all ages, with children under 4 entering free of charge. Tickets can be purchased online through the official website or via Fever, the ticketing partner. Prices start at $29 for adults and $19 for children aged 4-12.
