I’ll just say it: this was Disney at its very best. Disney On Ice: Find Your Hero is such a fun and magical way to see your favorite Disney characters come to life, jumping, spinning, gliding, and performing incredible stunts, all set to the soundtrack of the best Disney music. The costumes, the beautiful skating, and the talented performers bring these beloved stories right to life before your eyes. It’s the kind of show that keeps kids and adults smiling from beginning to end. And Salt Lake–we are lucky enough to have it here this weekend.

If you’re wondering what the show is actually about, it’s a celebration of heroes in all shapes and sizes. The show invites you into the world of Encanto with Mirabel and her family, where everyone has a special gift, then sets sail with Moana and Maui across the ocean, joins Elsa on her quest to protect Arendelle, and sends you under the sea with Ariel, exploring with Belle, and singing along with Rapunzel. It’s the hero inside all of us, told through a whole lot of your favorite stories.

For those of us who grew up in the ’80s and ’90s, there’s no better nostalgia than seeing and hearing The Little Mermaid. Getting to relive those favorite songs and moments was such a treat, and even wicked Ursula made an appearance with her bad self! Our kids loved her incredible costume, but they loved Maui and Moana, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider (a.k.a. Eugene Fitzherbert) even more. Their lifts, spins, and breathtaking acrobatics were absolutely stunning. And just wait until you see the floating lanterns! It’s one of those moments that makes you stop and take it all in.

On top of that, there’s Beauty and the Beast, where Gaston totally steals the show with his larger-than-life personality, and Frozen, where Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf work their way through the ice to stop the eternal winter. From familiar faces to spectacular skating and unexpected surprises, there’s something exciting happening around every corner. Needless to say, Disney packed A LOT into this show, and somehow managed to make every story feel special.

My favorite part, though, was watching my kids’ faces light up as their favorite characters skated across the ice. It’s more than just seeing a show. It’s getting to experience a little bit of Disney magic together as a family. The music, costumes, storytelling, and athleticism make this an experience everyone can enjoy, and if you’re looking for a fun, clean, and entertaining night out with the family, you really can’t go wrong.
Here’s the catch: this is a very short run. Disney On Ice presents Find Your Hero is at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City November 6 through 8. The remaining performances include Saturday, November 7 at 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM, and Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. That means this weekend is your window, so if you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time.
If you want to make it extra special, there’s also the Magical Pass. It includes premium reserved seats, a keepsake lanyard, and a character greeting with a special Disney star before the show, which starts 45 minutes before showtime and wraps up 15 minutes before the show begins. Every guest age two and up needs their own Magical Pass ticket, and the passes can’t be resold or transferred, so plan accordingly. It’s a fun splurge if you’re celebrating a birthday or want to make a first Disney On Ice outing one to remember.
If you are a lifelong Disney fan or introducing your little ones to these stories for the first time, Disney On Ice: Find Your Hero is a must-see. Take the whole family, sing along to your favorite songs, and enjoy a little Disney magic!
