My family and I are huge fans of The Piano Guys, who you may or not have heard of by now. They are an incredibly talented group out of Utah. Jon Schmidt, the pianist of the group, I have been familiar with since I got married 17 years ago, as my husband had the priviledge of meeting and watching him perform in a private concert. After that point, we listened to his music frequently. Fast forward several years and now he is part of The Piano Guys. This group takes popular and classical songs and fuses them together in a beautiful and awe-inspiring compilation of instrumental wonder which features the piano and cello, along with other instruments played by no more than four members. I’ve really never seen anything like it before!
Around Christmas, we started seeing their videos on the internet and then we were recently sent some CDs to check out. It is truly unbelievable how talented these men are! My children love to listen to their music while doing homework or just busy playing in the house. Take some time to watch their videos on YouTube and you will get an idea of how creative and gifted these musicians are! The videos are all set in interesting and beautiful places that make you wonder how they got their instruments there.
Check out the latest video from The Piano Guys, a mix of “Let it Go” from Disney’s Frozen and Vivaldi’s “Winter”. It is breathtaking to see the video and listen to how beautiful the music is.
I love that one, but I have a very difficult time choosing a favorite video. There are so many to choose from. For now, I will leave you with Peponi, an African twist on Coldplay’s “Paradise.”

We are so excited that The Piano Guys are coming to concert at the TD Bank Arts Centre in Sewell, NJ on March 26th at 7:30pm! You can purchase your tickets to see them at this venue by visiting their tour schedule. Shows are quickly selling out globally! We will be there at the concert and can’t wait to see them live!

I am not sure if you closed the contest yet or not…but I would love to take my son to this. He has wanted to play cello since he was three…he has been in beginner lessons this school year. He had high functoning autism and has started to get very frustrated with lessons. He loves these videos they show him how fun music can be
