It’s going to be 60 degrees today and a quick walk through my yard made me realize that daffodils are working their way out of the ground!  It’s a miracle!  But this also is a sure sign that spring is here, or at least trying really hard to make it’s presence known.  With today being April 1st, it made me realize that Easter is just around the corner!  I am more than ready to put this winter behind me and bring out and celebrate the arrival of a new season and holiday.

This week on The Mommy Avenger, we will featuring some great products we have tried out that you will want to know about in time for Easter!

I like to burn candles in my house.  I love the aroma and ambiance it brings to our home.  So, naturally, Yankee Candle is one of my favorite brands.  I love the large selection of scents and that the fragrance is strong, not overpowering, but that you can really smell the candle.  Many brands are a little weak, but my experience with Yankee Candle is not that way.

Just in time for Easter, I was sent a couple of new scents to check out.  Marshmallow Chicks and Bunny Cake.  How does a marshmallow candle smell?  Absolutely delicious!  This Peeps inspired (yes, the sugar coated Easter treats!) candle emits the yummiest smells in my kitchen.  When burning it, it seems as if I have been baking vanilla cakes all day.  It is a really soothing smell, without being overly sweet.  I was surprised how much I like it, considering I don’t normally like cookie scented candles and was afraid it would be something like that.  Instead, it is just heaven in a glass jar that happens to burn for close to 150 hours.  Yum!

The other fragrance I was sent was Bunny Cake.  This delicate pink candle is great to set out with Easter decor.  Burning it, though, is even better.  This is a very soft and subtle scent, that actually doesn’t smell as much like cake as the marshmallow chicks candle did.  But, it smells delightful, with hints of citrus, vanilla, and coconut.  It is a really nice, mellow fragrance to burn in your home for a warm and clean feel.  I really enjoy this one for spring time!
