Halloween is really one of my favorite holidays. It is so much fun to decorate and enjoy activities together as a family. I love decorating for fall, but really, I want to be decorating for Halloween. Typically, I try to hold out for October 1st to begin, but I almost always end up doing it a few days before. This weekend is supposed to be in the 80’s, so now is the perfect time to break out the decorations and get started!
Over the duration of our marriage, we have collected lots of knick knacks and decorations for this holiday. My kids love to pick out new things and it’s a family affair to get everything up. Every year, something new is added to the collection. This year, I found the coolest Etsy shop that makes handmade Halloween lights.
We were sent an awesome set of spooky Halloween lights* to check out from ButtonOwlBoutique, an adorable shop based in London.
When these lights arrived, I instantly loved them. Hand stitched and filled felt jack o’lanterns, ghosts, and bats hung with satin string and laced through pumpkin shaped LED lights make for an awesome addition to any one’s Halloween decor. Hang them in the house anywhere and they are sure to look fantastic. A really fun idea for a child’s bedroom though to add some not-so spooky ambiance for Halloween. My favorite thing about them, aside from how cute they are, is that they are battery operated. No worries about the lights being plugged into the wall. An easy on/off switch operates the lights, making them very safe to use. Satin loops at each end make them extremely easy to hang, too.

My boys love decorating for Halloween, but they are young so we can’t do anything to scary yet. These lights would be perfect for them I can think of at least 10 placed I would love to hang them up 🙂
