It’s time to get little ghouls and goblins suited up for a special night of trick-or-treating and Spirit Halloween has everything you need to get them ready for the occasion. As of today, there are 31 days left until Halloween! Now is the time to get in gear!
Normally, by this time of year, my kids have planned out their costumes and had a clear idea of what they want to be. This year, however, we are not ready! Halloween stores are always a favorite place to visit, so when my kids saw that Spirit Halloween had opened up in several locations nearby, they wanted to head over right away to check everything out.
For Halloween fanatics, this is a great place to visit. They have a great selection of costumes and home decor. My kids especially love the ghoulish animatronic displays. We love decorating our house, our car for trunk or treats, and are often in charge of a spook house at an annual event. This is our go-to spot for supplies!
If you are undecided about what to be for the big night, Spirit Halloween has so many choices for babies up to adults. We received some gift cards to pick up some fun Halloween items for our upcoming celebrations and my kids were really excited about the great selection.
My kids really enjoyed perusing the aisles and creating the perfect get up. One of my boys was especially happy to see the Nightmare Before Christmas selection available, which is not readily available just anywhere. They were also really excited to see a ton of The Walking Dead costumes and accessories. Seriously, where else can you find a necklace made of ears?
In addition to having a great selection of costumes for all your party and trick-or-treating needs, Spirit Halloween stores contribute to a great cause, Spirit of Children. At the heart of Spirit Halloween is Spirit of Children, a program which focuses on making hospitals less scary for kids and their families. For the 2014 Halloween season, Spirit of Children’s goal is to raise $5.2 million, bringing its total contribution to more than $21 million since its inception in 2006.
Hospitals in the tri-state area which will benefit from the funds raised include Children of Bellevue at Bellevue Hospital, Maimonides Infants & Children’s Hospital of Brooklyn, Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop University Hospital and St. Mary’s System for Children. You can learn more about the program and what you can do to help by visiting www.SpiritofChildren.com.
You can shop for fun and know that you are helping a great cause all at the same time. You can pick up great costumes for your kids at your local Spirit Halloween store. To find locations near you, visit their site here.
We have some great ideas lined up for Halloween this year and Spirit Halloween made it possible to get everything we needed to make those creations come to life. What will you be this Halloween?
*We received gift cards to shop at the store to facilitate a review, all opinions are my own.
My son doesn’t like scary costumes so we stick to cartoon/movie characters instead. This year he might be dressing up as a Ninja Turtle. 🙂
Ours just opened up this week and we’ve already scoped out the costumes! We love Halloween and can’t wait to dress up!
“At the heart of Spirit Halloween is Spirit of Children, a program which focuses on making hospitals less scary for kids and their families.” I never knew this-it is very good to know! I don’t dress up for Halloween anymore-nor do I decorate but you can bet your bottom dollar I will let others who do know about this!
This is awesome that Spirit Halloween stores help with funds for the children’s hospitals. Such a great cause and they look like they have awesome Halloween stuff. Thanks for sharing.
My kids haven’t figured out what they want to be either. I like getting DIY costumes for my kids.
I love Halloween, I can’t wait for it this year!
I had no idea they contributed to such a great cause. Makes me want to buy our costumes there now!
