We love all things Harry Potter in this house.  We have visited the Wizarding World on vacation in both the United States and in England. We read the books, we love the movies, we even love fun Harry Potter decorations.

So of course, you know we love to celebrate Harry Potter style! Labor Day has come and gone, school is back in session, and we’ve decided that we’re going to have a Harry Potter weekend!  Nothing better than getting in the back to school spirit than celebrating Harry’s arrival at Hogwarts and watch his magical school year unfold, right?

To kick off a fun Harry Potter themed celebration, we had to make some treats!  We loved visiting the Warner Bros Studio Tour in London this year and were thinking about the delicious brew that is famously known as Butter Beer, so thought we could make our own in the our very own kitchen and a couple of simple treats.

But before we got cooking, we donned some festive hand-made aprons, reminiscent of a particular gift Ron received for Christmas from Mrs. Weasley in the movies.  Don’t you just love it?  The rich red fabric is nice and thick and washes up well after whipping up some yummy creations in the kitchen.  You can actually pick to have one that is navy blue with an “H” on it for Harry or the “R” for Ron.  Totally fun!  It is really well made with a pleated front and pocket, it ties at the neck and at the waist.  You can pick up your own must-have apron for every Harry Potter fan through the MrsShultz etsy shop.  You will love this cute way to integrate Harry Potter into your kitchen, we know we do!

We tried out some recipes we found online and loved a vanilla ice cream and cream soda concoction.  But to get us in the mood we served them up in these adorable mugs from Etsy shop MommaBeansDesigns.  This store sells customizable vinyl designs on mugs that I think are the coolest gift ideas at a very affordable price.

While in the kitchen, we enlisted the help of this Hogwarts crested wooden cutting board from WalnutGroveBoardCo to prep our treats.  We made some Nimbus 2000’s and sorting hats for a simple snack for our movie marathon.  I love that I can prep meals in the kitchen and have this engraved  on the very sturdy board.  A really inconspicuous way to show your love for all things Harry Potter.

We find so many great quotes in our favorite movie series, we love having one of them immortalized in a handsome and well crafted sign to show off to those who come to our home.  I love these signs made by etsy store RusticlyInspired.  I seriously want to buy half her store to put in our house!  She does great work.  We were inspired seeing it on the wall while assembling our creations!

And what is a celebration without confetti?  We love this Harry Potter themed confetti from etsy shop HawthorneAve!  Seriously, it’s so cute!  Check out her shop for banners, too, for the perfect party decor.
