Nestled on West Street in the heart of Annapolis, Maryland lies a place riddled with mystery and intrigue. This place is Mission Escape Rooms. I’m sure by now you’ve heard of the latest craze–getting locked in a room and having less than an hour to escape with a group of your closest friends or complete strangers. It’s a thrilling adventure that puts your wits to the test. And one we decided to embark* on as a family while visiting Annapolis over spring break.
I loved the eclectic feel of this location immediately upon entering the facility. We were scheduled to try out the Alice in Wonderland room, which was really cool.
I can’t go into too much detail about the experience because I don’t want to give it away for you. But I can tell you that 50 minutes flew by and we raced to solve puzzles to get let out of the rabbit hole. I have to laugh because going to an escape room is a great way to realize you are not nearly as smart as you think you are and neither are the people you are with! I’m just kidding–sort of! Under pressure and with the minutes quickly passing by, it’s easy to get stumped, but somehow, we managed to escape in the allotted time.
We had a really fun evening playing the game and solving the riddles and know you will, too! You can book your own Mission Escape Rooms mission by visiting their website. There are several different themes to choose from that all look really fun!
