Gift Ideas for Mother’s Day

With spring and summer (hopefully) on the way, an amazing gift to give mom this year is a pair of gorgeous Caroline Wozniacki INGA sunglasses from OVVO.  I have fallen in love with these sturdy, yet light as a feather frames ( I love the raisin color!).  They offer incredible protection from the sun year round, but will be a staple for me for travel and the water this summer.  These frames are so stylish and comfortable, it’s a splurge that mom will adore!

I’m a huge fan of Victorinox fragrances, and Victoria Eau de Toilette, is no exception.  This perfume takes you from a day out with the family to a night out on the town, seamlessly.  It smells fresh and summery and will be a great addition to any woman’s fragrance collection, quickly becoming an everyday favorite.

Speaking of Victorinox, their bags have quickly become one of my most trusted travel companions.  This Etherius Illusion Global Carry-On  is perfect for travel of all kinds–a quick weekend getaway or an international trip.  I love the  polycarbonate material of the luggage and the smooth feel and sophisticated look.  More colors are becoming available this spring, but I also love the classic black.  Matching the polished texture of the carry-on is the equally fluid movement of the wheels.  You will want to take this on every travel excursion you have!

venus.jpgSomething mom doesn’t want for Mother’s Day?  Excess body and facial hair, that’s for sure!  So, gift her a Gilette Venus Silk Expert 3!  This intense pulsed light hair removal system from Braun will take care of all her unwanted hair by safely and effectively reducing permanent hair growth. It can be used by many different skin types and hair coloring, and adjusts accordingly, to produce great results.  She will be thrilled to receive this gift that keeps on giving!

norma-jean-lid-open_1_3I love high quality makeup and this is an area where I see the necessity to splurge.  My favorite makeup ever is Charlotte Tilbury.  This make up is amazing! Talk about products that make you feel your very best. Given that the makeup line was created by Charlotte herself, a makeup artist to celebrities that have graced the covers of Vogue magazines all over the world, it’s apparent she knows what looks and feels best for all types of women.

I don’t even know how I’ve lived so long without her Eyes to Mesmerize cream eyeshadow.  Now that I’ve found it, I know I am a lifelong fan.  My  favorite area of focus in make up is eyes and using her cream eyeshadows is a simple but elegant way to bring out the color of my eyes, keeping my makeup fresh-looking all day long.  This is incredible for travel, as there is no dust from eyeshadow to get on my other products, and the jars are compact.  A quick sweep of the cream on my fingertip is the perfect amount to apply to my eyelids for the entire day, leaving my eyes feeling moisturized (but not greasy) with some serious staying power in gorgeous colors. Accompany the cream shadow with her various eye liners in liquid or pencil and the full fat lashes mascara and you have the perfect look with minimal product.

NEWAHaving kids could be one of of the most stressful, yet rewarding jobs there is.  And I dare say, the job comes with a few visible badges–wrinkles for one.  Stress, aging, and the sun can do a number on our faces, for sure!  To reverse the effects, NEWA has come to our rescue.  This small device has been created to be an at-home spa-like treatment (as pleasurable as a warm facial massage) that can literally erase lines on your face. NEWA stimulates the skin’s natural collagen production for tighter, younger looking skin. With NEWA, in as little as 12 weeks you can build back the amount of collagen lost in 4 years.  If that’s not an incredible gift to give to mom, I don’t know what is!

Being a mom is a big job that can leave your body feeling less than stellar at the end of the day.  Sunbeam has your back–literally! Check out this back massager that will deliver a shiatsu massage with heat and four different settings, by just wrapping it around you. Don’t get me wrong,  professional massages are amazing, but can be time-consuming and not always cost-effective.  This makes it so that you can have a massage anytime, anywhere, feeling renewed and refreshed in a short amount of time.

2779_gardener_front_1400xGifting mom some great new items for her wardrobe is always a great idea.  I am loving the incredibly comfortable, stylish, and flattering options from Leota clothing.  A fresh new shirt for spring, like this Cece Bateau Gardener top, is a perfect choice.  I can’t get over how comfortable and pretty this shirt is on.  The cut of the fabric (and texture) feels and looks amazing! For a more special occasion, I love their Mae dress(shown here is jacquard with shimmer) because it feels light, feminine, and flirty and the fit is divine! Having never tried their clothing before, I am a new fan and can’t wait to check out their other styles, too. These are great items for every woman’s closet, as they have clothing that will look beautiful on every shape and size!

A clean house that smells delicious is something every mom would love.  I’m a huge fan of Yankee Candles in general, but I am really excited about their new Making Memories line of candles.  Not only are these candles packaged so beautifully, they smell incredible. Check out these new scents in the Making Memories line:

  • Laughter – the warmth of the sun captured in this unique mix of citrus, blossoms, and sandalwood
  • Love – a beguiling mix of citrus and melon, jasmine and vanilla, all wrapped under soft amber
  • Patience – Calming notes of white tea and sandalwood misted with cool salt air
  • Balance – Sugarcane and amber crystals united in an intriguing vanilla blend

They all smell so good, you can’t go wrong with any of them.  I love the fresh scents, especially with spring and summer here.  You can pick up one (or all!) of these tantalizing aromas by visiting Yankee Candle.
