Spend a Day at Dutch Springs!

We’ve been thoroughly enjoying our summer vacation on the East Coast.  So much, in fact, it’s hard to stop to write about it!  But, I have to tell you about the greatest gem in the Lehigh Valley, Dutch Springs.  I had no idea that it even existed, honestly, until recently and I was thrilled to get to spend a day there with my kids*.

Located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Dutch Springs is an oasis on a hot summer day.  Check out the overview of this place!

Upon arrival, we knew we were in for a fun day.  The check in process is a great one at Dutch Springs.  Simply arrive, turn in your waivers and grab your tickets.  Hop back in your car and you can drive closer to the lake and attractions.  I love this as I had a bunch of kids and their gear to take with me.  Arriving right around opening time, we were able to secure a prime parking spot (they are all free, by the way) and lounge chairs right by the water.  However, those spots went quickly, so feel free to bring your own.  We were also able to bring in a cooler and food.  So you can easily settle in for a long time, which is perfect, because you won’t want to leave due to the great time you will be having!

Once we were settled and our stuff was stored, we were ready to start playing.  It’s the park policy that everyone going into the water wear life jackets, which are supplied.  Everyone grabbed one and then headed off in different directions.  So many activities to choose from!  You can climb an iceberg, jump onto a Fatboy and fly through the air, jump on water trampolines and so much more.  My kids were occupied for hours!  They were also getting a ton of exercise climbing and using their upper body strength to lift themselves onto inflatables.

After several hours, they came back for a quick bite to eat and to replenish sunscreen and then they back at it again for several more.

When they did need a break, there was a snack shop available, as well as the cleanest bathroom facilities I have ever seen at a water park or pool.  I was quite impressed by the cleanliness, actually!  There were also plenty of changing areas for when you were finished, too.

The only thing that disappointed us about Dutch Springs was that we have lived pretty close to it all these years and we had not been before.  Don’t worry, that will most definitely be remedied now that we know!

Dutch Springs was an absolute blast, a great way to spend a hot summer day and one of our favorite places we have visited in the Tri-state area.  You have got to plan a visit for your own family!  You can learn more about Dutch Springs, the aqua park and scuba diving facilities, and more by visiting their website.

*we were invited to visit Dutch Springs to facilitate a review, all opinions are my own.
