I don’t know about you, but I think we need this Christmas season now more than anything. A time to focus on the good and what we have been blessed with despite a very crazy year. A time to focus on giving, rather than receiving. I love doing random service or taking things to friends and neighbors. So I loved this amazing idea from So Festive of giving the Sweet & Simple 12 Days of Christmas to someone without them knowing who it is from. It’s a very simple thing–purchase the download from their shop, print off the cards and put together the simple supplies on the cards to create one very memorable surprise for someone. I think we may just hit a few neighbors with these and do some doorbell ditching. Whether you do this for friends or neighbors, I know it will brighten someone’s holiday season. Want something a little more? Check out So Festive’s 12 Days of Christmas for Guys, too! It could definitely be a fun spin on the holidays with the special guy in your life!

This year may have not been a year where we got to jet-set everywhere or have professional photos taken, but this year of all years, it’s important to reach out to friends and loved ones and let them know that you are thinking of them and are grateful for having them in your life. I love sending Christmas cards out each year and Shutterfly makes designing the perfect card a breeze. You never have to worry about it becoming a big project because they take all the hard work out of it for you. Dare I say, it’s even fun to create on their website? They will even print your return address and recipient’s names on the envelopes for you, if you don’t want to do it yourself. I am always thrilled with how great the cards turn out! I love these super cute buffalo plaid Christmas trees from Irishandmadedecor, a fun shop found on etsy. These farmhouse mini table top trees add such an adorable festive feel to shelving or tables. I love the idea of gifting these to friends and neighbors for the holidays! Iris, the shop owner, is wonderful to work with and has a wide variety of other farmhouse themed Christmas items on her shop. Be sure to check out her shop–you’ll love it!

I am loving this adorable felt Christmas tree that allows little hands to decorate to their heart’s content! Etsy retailer greatgifts handcrafts these festive trees and you can tell they are created with love. I love the felt envelope that stores all the ornaments. A great way to get little ones in on the decorating without worrying about anything breaking or falling over. Perfect to stick on the wall in a playroom, near the family Christmas tree or anywhere your kids can see the tree and get excited about the holiday season. We put it to the test with lots of little kids and it was a huge hit!
We love to collect ornaments that represent different interests and travel throughout the year that pertain to individual family members. They make great sentimental gifts and carry on traditions. A few etsy shops this year have caught our eye for unique items. For some fun pop culture ornaments, I love ebethsboutique! We have some Back to the Future and Jurassic Park fans and these adorable ornaments of the delorean and jeep are perfect! I love the high quality and unique gifts these make.

For a personalized ornament, check out TictocHoliday on Etsy. I like that there are lots of ways to customize a special gift to commemorate something fun or special. I like the Scandinavian themed ornament that references our ancestry. The ornaments can be created just for you and arrive quickly. It’s a great shop to order from, so check out their creations!

I also love this beautiful star ornament from Classic Legacy. Handmade in the USA, it is simple and like the name of the store it’s sold at suggests–classic. A timeless ornament that gives me a reminder of the reason we celebrate and things to be grateful for this time of year. A gift from Classic Legacy will be long cherished and enjoyed.
