I’m Over the Moon

I remember it like it was yesterday. The first experience of going to the movies as a very little girl. My brother was really excited to see the movie and my mom was worried I would be too scared. We were going to see E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. I was not scared, no, not at all. I absolutely loved it. Gertie and I were close to the same age and I just really related to this movie. It was amazing!

Not too long ago, when visiting Universal Orlando Resorts, I found myself riding the E.T. ride there. The sights, the smells, all the props transported me back in time to that experience of walking inside the movie theatre doors to see the movie for the first time. Almost as if I was walking back in time through my childhood. I think it’s safe to say that E.T. holds a special place in my heart.
